Cardinal Security, a UK based award winning provider of innovative security solutions, this week announced the appointment of Graham Allison as its commercial director.

Allison has been in the security industry for over 20 years and joins Cardinal Security from Sentinel Group Security, where he was Chief Operating Officer for more than three years.

Prior to that he was Retail Relationship Director with Mitie Security, and he has also worked for Securitas Security Services and Reliance Security Services.

The company says Allison will promote “the unique advantages of using Cardinal Security’s specialist services to organisations across the country”, and will “focus on the development of new opportunities”.

Allison says his career has provided him with a great deal of insight into the specific security needs of customers in many vertical sectors and environments – in particular retail and logistics.

Cardinal, he says, “sets an industry benchmark for its intelligent guarding concept, which does away with the traditional customer denial model and integrates the duties of a security officer with technology, electronic systems and the data produced”.

Allison will also play a key role in supporting the Cardinal Training Academy, which aims to attract new entrants to the industry via an apprenticeship scheme, while enabling manned guards to enhance their skills.

The academy is scheduled to open later this year, and the company says “it aims to shape the future of the manned guarding sector”.

Cardinal Security’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Jason Trigg, said having Allison on board “is a massive coup”.

“This is one of several significant appointments that we will be making in the forthcoming months,” he added.

Cardinal Security has received several industry awards and accreditations, including the prestigious ‘Vendor of the Year’ award at the Retail Fraud Awards 2015 and 2016.
