Delegates at the Retail Risk – Singapore 2017 conference on 27th April will be exploring the future of risk and loss prevention as they evolve to meet the challenges of omni-channel retail.
This will be the second year in a row that the conference returns to Singapore, with another unmissable lineup of speakers. As chairman, Lee Golding, loss prevention manager – Asia, the Cotton On Group, will bring his extensive experience of the region to bear on the overarching theme of optimizing risk control for both customers and the business.
Keynote speakers will be Peter Page, group loss prevention manager of a leading UAE based retail group, and Ken Bohnert, senior manager profit protection – global investigations operations, adidas group, a global sponsor of the Retail Risk conference series.
Peter will draw on his ten years of experience as a security practitioner in the Middle East and North Africa to forecast what successful risk and loss prevention will look like in the Gulf and globally in the next five years.
Ken will be asking, from a global brand’s perspective, ‘how do you choose the right data-mining tool?’ and ‘how do you roll it out across your estate?’
Other speakers will cover the whole gamut of risks in the sector. Delegates attending the session with Saket Bhartia, Executive Director, Fraud Investigation & Dispute Services, EY, will learn about regional ‘innovations’ in corruption, and how these can be mitigated.
A presentation by Daniel Mueller, senior manager security, McDonalds Deutschland, will show how the structured crisis management of a large retailer equips a company to survive the challenges of a terror attack, with particular reference to lessons learned from the Munich active shooter incident in 2016.
Justin Lie, CEO and founder CashShield, will give a presentation on cyber attacks, the obsolescence of static defence and how to use active surveillance to overcome risks and maximize revenue.
Scott Brothers, Executive Vice President, Corporate Development, Oncam, will be sharing his experiences of enabling a leading international retailer to leverage 360-degree smart video and analytics beyond loss prevention to support wider business operations.
Tony D’Onofrio, Chief Customer Officer, Tyco Retail Solutions will be sharing futuristic ideas about leadership, technology innovation and trends that have helped to grow global businesses.
And to help delegates share notes on the region, Andy Lim, regional manager loss prevention, Asia Pacific, Swarovski and James Teo, loss prevention manager, Singapore, Cotton On Group, will be sharing the stage with Lee Golding in a panel discussion on ‘What keeps risk and LP executives awake at night in Singapore?’
